Anja Balfour
Chair of The Global Smaller Companies Trust plc
Anja is currently Chair of The Global Smaller Companies Trust plc, an Investment Company managed by Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Previously she spent over 20 years as a fund manager, running Japanese and International Equity portfolios for Stewart Ivory, Baillie Gifford and latterly, Axa Framlington and was formerly chair of Schroder Japan Trust plc until December 2022.
Anja is a non-executive director of AVI Global Trust PLC and a non-executive Director of Scottish Friendly Assurance, where she chairs the Investment Committee.
